Chandler Limited NAMM TEC Awards Nominations 2017, Abbey Road StudiosShell Rock, IA – September 2016… Chandler Limited, the only company in the world authorized to develop, manufacture and market the ‘Official Equipment’ of EMI/Abbey Road Studios, delivering the classic analog sounds that recording and professional musicians seek, and Abbey Road Studios celebrate NAMM TEC Awards nominations for the RS124 Compressor and TG Microphone Cassette.

Chandler Limited and Abbey Road Studios are both honored and grateful to the NAMM TEC Awards and industry community for these highly regarded nominations. Together, we would like to congratulate all of the other nominees on their nominations and great products.

Both the RS124 Compressor and TG Microphone Cassette from Chandler Limited’s EMI/Abbey Road Studios historic series have become instant “must-haves” for producers and engineers, and “go-to” signal processors for some of the recording industry’s most celebrated hit-makers.

The Chandler Limited RS124 Compressor is a recreation of one of the most coveted audio valve compressors of all time…the legendary EMI/Abbey Road RS124, and reimagined for the modern studio environment.

Considered a “secret weapon” of EMI and Abbey Road Studios, the inner-workings of the historic RS124 tube compressor were closely guarded for decades. The elusiveness of the true RS124, and its association with recordings by the Beatles at the world's most famous studio have garnered it mythical status among producers, engineers and recording enthusiasts.

Chandler Limited's RS124 Compressor brings together the sonic characteristics of three favorite historic RS124s still in use at Abbey Road Studios, and adds expanded features, including the powerful "Superfuse" mode, delivering the definitive RS124. The TG Microphone Cassette combines Chandler Limited's critically acclaimed TG2 Pre Amp/DI, TG12345 Curve Bender EQ, and the newly introduced TG1 Opto Limiter, forming a fully-featured EMI/Abbey Road Studios TG console channel strip.

Developed as a solid-state replacement for EMI’s earlier valve based REDD desks, and installed in Abbey Road Studios’ Studio Two in 1968, the EMI TG12345 recording consoles are most closely associated with the Beatles "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon" albums.

The Chandler Limited TG Microphone Cassette yields the legendary tone and heralded sound of the vintage EMI TG12345 recording console in a flexible 'multi-source' capable recording channel. Discover more about the Chandler Limited TG Microphone Cassette here.
