CHANDLER LIMITED enters the 500 race furiously with its new LITTLE DEVIL Equalizers and Compressors. Using all discrete circuits that combine Chandler's best designs with the hottest designs from the past, transformer balanced everything, and the American hand made quality you expect from Chandler, the LITTLE DEVILS will take the lunchbox UP (or DOWN:-) to the next level...
Technically and sonically speaking, the Chandler LITTLE DEVILS are steeped in the sound and function of all Chandler gear - discrete amplifiers, inductors, transformers, and quality American build. You won't find any surface mount or ribbon cables in the Little Devils (used to build cell phones and computers) that are becoming popular money-saving and sound-crippling build techniques used by some other manufacturers.
"The Little Devil EQ is ALL business!!! It has been getting a workout.... I find myself sticking it on shit that doesn't even need any EQ just to see how much better it can get!"
-Blues Saraceno
"Been using them both (compressor and EQ) and I really love the tone. Man you can't beat hand made hardware. The units look great and are built like tanks . . . Instantly you could hear the tone of the hardware, it was a beautiful thing."
-James Lugo
Important Information
Little Devils and API 6-space Lunchboxes
API used regulators made by several different manufacturers in their 6-space Lunchboxes. The regulators have the same part number and exactly the same specs, however, various ones cause the Lunchbox to have insufficient available current for some 500-series modules including the Little Devil EQ and Little Devil Compressor. Versions of the Lunchbox with these components will have trouble on power up and the modules will fail to start. This can be confirmed by jump starting the Lunchbox – turn it on for 3 seconds, off for 3 seconds, and then on again. The rack will then power up properly
To solve this issue, ST Microelectronics regulators must be replaced with National Semiconductor regulators (click on images below). To have the regulator replaced, contact API at service@apiaudio.com, or for a nominal fee, Chandler Limited will replace the regulator.
Thanks, API, for helping us with this.
Little Devil Compressor – Please Read Manual
The Little Devil Compressor has some non-standard features and it is possible to “not get” the unit. Please read your manual and call or email us if you have any questions. We are glad to help!!
