Chandler Limited commemorates RS124 Compressor with Giveaway
Shell Rock, IA – June 2016 … Chandler Limited, the only company in the world authorized to develop, manufacture and market the ‘Official Equipment’ of EMI/Abbey Road Studios, delivering the classic analog sounds recording and professional musicians seek, announces a onetime giveaway drawing for an RS124 Compressor from Chandler’s esteemed EMI/Abbey Road Studios product line.
The Chandler Limited RS124 Compressor, is a recreation of one of the most coveted recording tube compressors of all time, the legendary EMI/Abbey Road RS124, reimagined for use in the modern recording studio.
During the late 1950s, EMI acquired Atlec tube compressors for use at their studios and soon realized the units were insufficient for critical recording applications. Abbey Road technical engineers modified the Altec units to meet their standards and ultimately ended up designing an entirely new compressor in the process, the RS124.
Upon introduction at the studio, the RS124 compressor quickly became popular with Abbey Road engineers. The RS124 was so integral to the recording, mixing and mastering process that a pair can be seen in almost every control room photo in Abbey Road Studios during the '60s period. The RS124 compressor is most closely associated with recordings made by The Beatles at Abbey Road Studios.
The RS124 Compressor was built for use at Abbey Road Studios, and was never commercially available.

Terms and Conditions for Chandler Limited’s “Giveaway Drawing”
Your participation in Chandler Limited’s Giveaway Drawing (“The Giveaway Drawing” or “Promotion”) shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the Terms and Conditions herein. The following are the Terms and Conditions of The Giveaway Drawing, which is sponsored by the operator of the Internet site www.ChandlerLimited.com (“Chandler Limited”).
1. Only persons over the age of 18 are eligible for entry to The Giveaway Drawing. You may be asked, at any stage, to provide Chandler Limited or a third party with proof of age and /or identity.
2. The Giveaway Drawing shall take place on the date specified on the Giveaway Drawing page on www.ChandlerLimited.com.
3. Each entrant shall be entitled to make one (1) entry into The Giveaway Drawing only, unless otherwise as directed by Chandler Limited for the The Giveaway Drawing. In the event that Chandler Limited deems an entrant to have made multiple applications to enter or to have acted in bad faith with respect to the Promotion, the entrant shall be excluded from The Giveaway Drawing and consequently ineligible to win the Promotional Prize, as defined below.
4. The Promotional Prize for winning The Giveaway Drawing shall be a single Chandler Limited RS124 Compressor from Chandler Limited, valued at $2,875 (the “Prize”).
5. The Promotional Prize will be shipped out to The Giveaway Drawing winner after the winner has provided Chandler Limited with a valid mailing address and proof of identity, and any associated media as deemed necessary by Chandler Limited. The Giveaway Drawing winner agrees to provide Chandler Limited with a hi-res image of the The Giveaway Drawing winner in a digital format as directed by Chandler Limited, image and or contents of image provided by The Giveaway Drawing winner must be deemed acceptable by Chandler Limited.
6. Chandler Limited may notify the winner of the Promotion via E-mail or other means within sixty (60) business days of The Giveaway Drawing end date as specified on the Giveaway Drawing page on www.ChandlerLimited.com. Subject to availability, the winner may receive the Promotional Prize within sixty (60) business days of Chandler Limited’s receipt of the winner's details required in order to affect transfer of the Prize.
7. Notwithstanding Section 6 above, in the event that, for any reason whatsoever, the Promotional Prize winner fails to respond, within thirty (30) days, to the E-mail notification of his/her winning, such winning entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited his / her claim to the prize and Chandler Limited shall not have any obligation whatsoever to compensate the winning entrant in any way.
8. Chandler Limited’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to awarding of the Promotional Prize and shall not be subject to review or appeal by any entrant or by any third party.
9. Chandler Limited may use the winner’s name, picture, likeness, prize information and state/country of residence for promotional purposes in any media without any payment or consideration.
10. The Prize is neither transferable nor exchangeable and cannot be exchanged for money or money’s worth.
11. By entering the Giveaway Drawing each entrant unreservedly agrees to these terms and conditions which govern the Giveaway Drawing and the awarding of the Prize.
12. By entering the Giveaway Drawing each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless Chandler Limited, its legal representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any damages whatsoever suffered or sustained in connection with The Giveaway Drawing or the acceptance of the Prize.
13. The winning entrant shall be solely responsible for any taxes levied in relation to the delivery or receipt of the Promotional Prize.
14. Chandler Limited reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and in its sole discretion.
15. Chandler Limited reserves the right, at any time, to cancel, modify or suspend The Giveaway Drawing if, in its sole judgment, The Giveaway Drawing is not capable of being conducted as specified.
16. Chandler Limited reserves the right to disclose winner’s name and identity.
17. These terms and conditions and any matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Iowa and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Iowa.
